Just A Small Amount Can Change A Life!
We all appreciate, the current economic climate affects the money we have in our pocket. It's tough and doesn't feel like it's getting any easier.
However, just the smallest donation can make a difference. For example, a donation of:
£5 - can provide ink to print out information sheets, to help someone come to terms with OOKP.
£10 - Can sponsor a website domain name, like www.ookpsupportservice.com for a year.
£50 - can provide phone-lines for 6 months, to help answer members questions
£100 - Can provide a number of services for OOKP patients and their families, for almost a year.
These are just some examples of how donations can help. We're not asking members to directly donate, as we realise, many claim benefits themselves. However, we're asking members to access local individuals, groups and businesses, to give just a little help.
We can advertise their services on this website, as a thank you for their donations. Most of all, we can promote them whenever we're involved in interviews, news stories, tv and radio
This may seem a little far fetched, but our founder, Martin Jones, has been the subject of local and national press publicity and involved in the BBC documentary "The Day I Got My Site Back."
There are many charitable societies, including Grand Order of Buffalos, Freemasons, , Oddfellows etc, , each available in almost every UK town, willing to provide charitable donations to worthy causes.
We're new, enthusiastic and need help to progress, so we're asking, if any members, their families or friends,, or know of someone involved in such organisations, if they can approach them and ask if we can submit a charitable request, we would be extremely grateful.
It allows us to provide the services you need; and in turn, helps a member of their community, usually a remit for local societies to offer charitable donations.
We highlight other ways to donate in this section, so everyone can help this support service provide essential assistance to OOKP patients and their families, enabling them to live independent lives, and most of all, gain the skills and confidence to re-enter the world, with purpose.
